Experimenting with different effects for my digipak

I have been using an online editing site called 'picmonkey' to edit my photos. This is definitely my favourite editing site as it's simple to use and has great effects that you can use.
Here below are some of my own photos that I have experimented with by using different effects.

1. I really like this design and I think this will be one I will use for my digipac front cover. I have layered two of my own images by using a special effect, so that just the background would combine with each other. I highlighted around the image of Katie so that she would still say clear and bold on the image.

 2. I changed the background for this image, which I think has worked well, although it doesn't look as effective as my other design.

3. I really like this design and might use it on my digipac. I edited the photo so that the image of Katie would stay colour and the background would be black and white. I also added circles in the background so the sea looks sparkly which works well. It also makes Katie stand out.

4. This is a close up of my hands holding a shiny chain that I bought from Boyes in Beverley. I think this looks effective and the effect I have used makes the different contrasts of light look lighter and shiny. I might use this as the CD design.

5. I have changed the contrast and the lighting on the image which makes it look brighter. I think this design is ok, although quite similar to the original photograph.

6. I used an effect called 'spotlight' which I think has worked well. It makes Katie stand out more on the image and make her look more important to the audience.

7. Instead of combining the backgrounds of my images together, the sea of my '2nd layer' is shown on Katie's dress. I don't think it as noticeable as the other images, although suggests that her dress is the sea of secrets, as she sings them out in the music video about her relationship.

8. For this image I have used a 'sepia' effect, which I think looks summery and also old fashioned. I like the colour and contrasts although I think my image should be lighter as she's 'shining like a diamond'.

9. Similar to my other image, I kept Katie in colour and my background black and white, which makes Katie stand out more. I added cross's in the background which is noticeable in the sea. I like this design, although I think the circles look more effective than the cross's.

10. In this image, I have kept the background colour and Katie black and white. I don't think looks as effective as when Katie is in colour and the background black and white, as she doesn't stand out as much.

11. I have used an effect where it sharpens the image, so the shapes and the image of Katie is more highlighted and bolder.
